Who we are
Here's the deal, RiverPoint Church cares about one thing more than anything else, Jesus Christ. RiverPoint is a family of individuals that have found hope in Jesus, and simply want as many people as possible to experience that exact same freedom.
Where we come from
RiverPoint Church began in a converted warehouse in 2003 with about 14 people. Since then RiverPoint has grown substantially, seeing many ministry opportunities & lives changed along the way. We’ve seen many who were “burned out on church” find their way back into the church and become active in ministry areas and serving others. Our youth program has been blessed to see many students headed down paths of destruction find their way to God. With a heart for missions, RiverPoint began early financially supporting foreign missions. Today we support many missionaries around the world including the U.S.
Having started in a rented warehouse our church family was excited when in 2009 we held our first worship service in our new first phase facility located in Pelham, AL. In 2015 seeing a need for additional space, we took on phase two of our building adding a larger lobby and doubling our parking space. We are currently planning our third phase which will be our main sanctuary.
Pastor Bobby leads RiverPoint Church with a strong vision and passion to reach out to those who don’t know God or feel comfortable with church. He also has a heart to see those who already know Christ grow deeper in their relationship and operate daily in the power of His Spirit. We currently meet at 10:30am each Sunday, offering a dynamic Kids Program at each service. Throughout the week we offer small groups, adult Bible study, youth & children’s events and other activities.
If you happen to be looking for answers to some of life’s most difficult questions or a church to begin calling home, we believe you may find what you are looking for at RiverPoint. Hope to see you soon!
Where we're headed
What's the bottom line? More than ever, RiverPoint Church is committed to fostering a family built around hope. Hope for the future. Hope for better. Hope for progress. Hope in Jesus. And as we move forward as a church family, inclusion and belonging remain at the center of who we are as followers of Christ.
